kingfisherFor those of you who have not had the a chance to get to Mana Pools lately Kavinga Safaris would like to give you an update on what has been happening there. We have just returned from the Easter weekend and the park is looking fantastic, the bush is thick, but still lots to see. On our arrival we were surprised to see one Pink Backed Pelican who had taken up residence at the Mana bridge as you enter the park along side a flock of Yellow billed storks. The water is drying up from long pool and so the concentration of fish in the pools near the bridge is luring a variety of birds including a couple of fish eagles, pied kingfishers, grey herons and the yellow billed storks to mention a few.
