Patrick is our chef with years of wild experience. He started his career in the kitchen in a popular A La Carte restaurant in Harare but left after 8 years to start his adventure in the wild. He began working for Kavinga in 2009 when the company was operating mobile safaris at Chitake and along the Zambezi River and now cooks for our guests at Kavinga, the new camp. Cooking in a ‘bush kitchen’ means having to juggle many jobs at once, from baking a cake in the home-made coal oven to dodging lions drinking by the water tap, which makes for interesting times and keeps Patrick on his toes! He works tirelessly to produce the great food we serve our guests every day and prides himself on producing wholesome, delicious meals.
