Becoming a professional Safari Guide has been a dream of mine since I was very young. After I left school, I completed a seven month course that pointed me in the right direction. My first job was working as an apprentice under Stretch Ferriera in his camp in Mana Pools. I worked for him for five seasons gaining experience on foot with big game and canoeing and fishing along the Zambezi River. During the time leading up to my professional guides exam, I managed an anti-poaching team in Dande, in the Zambezi Valley. This period in my life was all hard work which prepared me for the responsibilities that come with guiding in the African bush.
I started working with Kavinga in 2016 with Caitlin. We manage the camp together and I take our guests out on all our drives, birding, and walking activities. I’m enthusiastic and passionate about showing guests the beauty of this magical place. I’m always up for an adventure and I strive to ensure you have a wonderful stay with us at Kavinga!
